I care about ISSUES that are important to YOU!
Shana Shroll, Republican Candidate for County Commission, District 19, Kent County, Michigan

Paid for by: Shana Shroll for County Commission, 1612 Woodward Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506
Priorities matter
Families, businesses, nonprofit organizations, individuals: we all determine what is most important so we can allocate scarce resources accordingly.  Government - especially on the local level - should operate the same way.
As your County Commissioner, I will work every day with these priorities in mind:  efficiency, effectiveness and transparency.
Insist on cost-savings analysis of expenditures.  Across the board cuts don’t work - they punish effective programs and overlook the need for eliminating some expenses altogether
Ensure that basic services like public safety and roads are adequately funded before advocating for optional proposals
Foster positive relationships with the private sector, specifically as it pertains to job creation
Advocate for consolidation of services when it makes sense and saves taxpayer dollars
Be a positive voice for collaboration and cooperation among local governments and the private sector
Approach challenges creatively, taking into consideration the resources currently available
Advocate for outside audits of each department
Communicate regularly with neighbors and community leaders to determine what issues are most relevant to citizens
Hold regular office hours where constituents can speak to me directly about pertinent community issues
To keep up to date on our campaign, join the “Shroll Patrol”.  We’ll send out regular updates and discuss pertinent issues affecting our community.
